| Description: | Position Overview: This is a specialist position that will provide detailed audit and analysis of telecommunications services that result in recommendations to customers for savings. This will require in depth review of carrier contracts, inventory and billing and the use of Tangoe's proprietary software platforms. Services to be audited and savings recommendations will be made for voice, data and wireless. This position will include managing the dispute and change process with carriers through final resolution. This role includes working directly with the client and the client's carriers, but this position will not own the relationship on an ongoing basis. The Communications Audit Analyst will handle multiple projects simultaneously with an emphasis on meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy and quality of all deliverables. - Communicate in a professional and businesslike manner to entire organization as an advocate for the client
- Become an expert on Tangoe's software services
- Review and audit carrier bills including simple and complex voice and data and wireless services such as access circuits, frame relay, Internet, private virtual circuits, POTS lines, ISDN back-up circuits, local and LD services, toll free services, wireless services and various other telecom related products and services.
- Acquire and maintain expertise on telecom carrier product and service offerings
- Provide analytical support for carrier invoice processing
- Configure and run assurance tests in platform that analyzes client contract, inventory and billing data and outputs exceptions.
- Review exceptions and validate prior to submitting to client
- Based on client contracts, services and billing platforms, develop new assurance scenarios for testing
- Configure run time parameters and run specialized software that analyzes client wireless activity and outputs cost savings recommendations
- Validate recommendations prior to submitting to client
- Formulate and prepare additional cost savings reports geared specifically to the client's needs profile
- Dispute resolution and management
- Identify opportunities for process improvement; work with team members to define and implement best practices.
- Drive initiatives to define, analyze, and recommend solutions to address client issues based on a detailed understanding of current business processes and future business needs
- Working with cross functional teams, develop and enforce clear processes and procedures
- Provide support to the executive management team on presentations, ad-hoc analysis and other strategic initiatives
- Liaison between clients / Service Delivery Managers and Production Support / Level 2 / Development
Required Qualifications: - Requires a Bachelors degree in Business/Finance (or related field) or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of telecom billing audit experience in voice, data and wireless services
- Knowledge of the telecom carrier industry and especially their billing systems
- Knowledge and understanding of telecom contacts and tariff agreements
- Excellent written business communication and verbal presentation skills
- Individual must have strong customer service skills and the ability to work / adapt in a fast growing environment
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, manage work load, be accountable and deliver results
- Must be able to prioritize to meet competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment as a team player
- Must have Microsoft Office experience (Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Must demonstrate sound business judgment and decision making skills
- Strong inter-personal and communications skills
- Proficient at interacting positively with senior management and cross functional peer teams
- Capable of managing major process and systems changes, and managing related conflicts
- Able to work unsupervised and drive major projects to completion
- Skilled at independent problem solving
- Strong time management skills
Desired Qualifications: - Demonstrated project management skills
- Familiarity with relational database concepts
- Beginning level SQL knowledge (inner table joins for selecting rows only)
- Experience retrieving data from relational databases (on any platform, but Oracle preferred)
- Must be very experienced with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables and charts, and importing data from external sources such as Oracle
- Telecom services expertise (design, implementation, procurement or managemet)
- Data network expertise (design, implementation or management)
