| Description: | The Senior Java/J2EE Engineer will help to design, develop, test, debug, and deploy a highly-available and award-winning Telecommunications Expense Management (TEM) application in both the Managed Service Provider (MSP) and premised-based software environments using best-of-breed Java technologies. An ideal candidate will be an extremely proficient Java/J2EE developer who will be comfortable handling new challenges involving emerging technologies, as well as addressing mission critical application diagnostics and troubleshooting. |
| Duties: | - Provide a senior-level contribution to a team responsible for the design, development and implementation of critical business applications using best-of-breed Java technologies
- Work with traditional software lifecycle methodologies. Create technical design documents. Perform research, analysis, coding, debugging and testing.
- Work effectively in a collaborative development environment, providing assistance & technical guidance to other team members as required
- QA testing of all code
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards
- Solid time management skills
- Work with other departments to ensure consistent focus on producing quality deliverables in a timely manner
- Research emerging technologies to improve current applications, architectures and processes
- Work effectively under pressure and across multiple projects with short deadlines & evolving requirements

| Qualifications: | - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years Java Development experience with J2EE
- Experience with Struts, Spring, JSP, JSF, EJB, Hibernate, Ant, Log4j, JUnit
- Facility with SQL and one or more relational databases, such as Oracle or SQL Server
- Experience with version control software, such as CVS
- Full exposure to and understanding of all aspects of the software development lifecycle
- Current knowledge of application servers, such as Weblogic, JBoss
- Excellent object-oriented design & programming skills, including strong working knowledge and experience in using design patterns
- Pluses will include knowledge of, or exposure to, JavaScript & Python
- Web Services experience also a plus.
